Campground Overview
Gilbert Lake State Park's lake and three ponds lie in wooded, hilly terrain in the foothills of the Catskills, just north of Oneonta. In addition to cabins and campsites, the park has more than 12 miles of interconnecting trails for hikers, playgrounds and a disc golf course, as well as swimming, boating, and fishing are also featured.
Gilbert Lake has 135 campsites located in two areas around the lake, Hilltop and Deer Run. 56 sites located in both Hilltop and Deer Run have electric.
There are no sites on or near the water.
The campgrounds main water feature is a smaller pond with a decent size beach area.
