Lake George Battleground Campground holds great historical significance for many of its visitors, who visit to view the remains of the numerous military activities that took place here during the Colonial period. The campground is near a self-guided historical interpretive path, with educational information, at the Battlefield Park. A short walk to the Lake George Beach for swimming and sunbathing is another popular activity here, and campers also have the option of boating, fishing, and hiking. Shopping and theme parks are also very close by, so there is something for everyone here!

This campground is best suited to those with tents are small trailers such as popups. Sites are mainly close together and most offer little privacy. The campground is directly adjacent to the village of Lake George on two sides.
