Campground Overview
Located along the Sacandaga River north of Northampton Beach in the southern region of the Adirondack Park. This serene campground offers excellent fishing and hiking on nearby state lands. There are a total of 137 campsites with approximately 60 located along the edge of the river. The campground offers a Junior Naturalist Program, a nature based program that encourages children to explore the surrounding environment. Facilities: The park's amenities include campsites, a picnic area with tables and fireplaces, restrooms with showers, a trailer dump station, a boat launch (on the back side of Algonquin Lake), a recycling center, and a pay telephone. Most facilities are handicapped-accessible. Nearby Attractions: Shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, and golf courses are nearby.
