Campground Overview
Green Lakes State Park's outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. Such lakes have a high potential for evidence of ancient plant and animal life. The park has an excellent large beach and an 18-hole State Park Golf. Green Lakes State Park is located just east of Syracuse, NY.
Green Lakes offers 145 campsites with a mix of tent, electric and full hookup RV sites with a mix of open grassy sites, as well as wooded sites with some privacy.
